Such a nice family with one of the cutest 4-year-olds ever. He was a trooper the entire time whether he was the one in the pictures or when he was being my super duper assistant.
It was great finally meeting you guys!!

I got to see this sweet family for another newborn shoot. I could not get over how much their new little guy looks like his big brother. It was literally like stepping back in time to the first newborn shoot we did a few years ago. I love getting to see these guys. They were one of my first families to do pictures of and since that first session in 2008 I usually get to see them at least once a year. The last few times we’ve gotten together have been memorable. At our session 2.5 years ago I ended up coming home with a dog that had been hit by a car and was struggling to swim in a pond. The session after that they were following me and my car got a flat tire. Luckily, the dog ended up okay and is sleeping next to my feet right now and the flat tire was fixed by my husband while we did the pictures. We joke around that trouble seems to find us when we’re together. This year was great though! The wind was pretty bad but we beat a thunderstorm and were able to get the pictures done. They were sharing a vacation home with some friends of theirs so I got to meet them too. Cheers to another session in the books. The kids from the 2 families were having lots of fun together. I did his sister’s senior pictures last year so it was great to hear from his mom again. She was so kind in giving out my name to lots of her friends and family this year! I drove to their side of town and we planned on meeting at a beautiful park that we had done pictures at years ago. On the way there the road I was on ended up having some construction(thanks for nothing Google Maps and Waze that both told me to go that way!) and you were forced off and sent on a detour. I started to drive up to the park and realized the entrances were closed off and there were cars parked all along the road. Something big was obviously going on at the park. We decided to look for another location. We drove a little ways and found another area but there weren’t any good spots to park the cars. Next we went to a local golf course and again, didn’t see anywhere that would work. We finally decided to use a little neighborhood park so we wouldn’t run out of light. |
