Dream Location in the country

This is my husband’s cousin and her in-laws and when she asked if we were coming to the farm for Easter and would I mind doing pictures for them I jumped at the chance. I was honored that she wanted me to capture them and the location that they chose was phenomenal! I could literally do a photo shoot there every.single.day for an entire year and still love it. There was a barn, ponds, gorgeous trees, limbs across the ground, and gorgeous light. And on the drive over there I spotted hundreds of other great locations. Aaaaahhh, if only it were closer!

I really hope you guys love the sneak peek:)

My dad called this morning and mentioned that there was an old steam engine in Houston parked for the day at a station downtown and mentioned going to see it. I was so-so with the idea of going but knew Drew would love it. It also just so happened that I was driving my father-in-law close to there to pick up a car so it really worked out to go by and see the steam engine. And I actually really enjoyed it. MUCH larger than I expected. There were news stations there and I also noticed that a lot of elder people were there, some of them wearing railroad clothing or memorabilia. It really seems to be a dying thing (especially passenger cars and steam engines) and I was sad that a lot of those people probably have some really fond memories from the railroad. My dad can remember a steam engine that came to Houston in 1976 and said that my grandfather actually woke up in the middle of the night from hearing the steam engine come through Pearland as it left. So today my dad asked them what time they were leaving tomorrow and what route they are taking to leave Houston. Luckily, they are going to come right through Pearland again! It will be the one train that I would be happy to see come through town. They are leaving Houston at 8:00 am and he said to expect it in Pearland from as early as 9:00 to an hour and a half later just depending on how everything goes. Let me know if you spot it!
