Caught in a dress

Cori’s mom mentioned that she usually is not seen in a dress, so she was pretty happy that we were getting it in pictures. I had so much fun with this shoot. She was awesome at posing, so easy-going and up for anything I suggested (even sitting IN the flower bed; although we carefully chose a spot where there were no flowers). I know it’s a photo overload but I just cannot narrow them down. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Finally, a sitter-upper

Her mom and I have been waiting to do pictures. We were waiting for her to sit up. I got the cutest email one day saying that not only was little “S” a spitter-upper but she was now also a sitter-upper. So it was time for pictures.

Part 2

A total BLAST

I LOVE taking pictures of girls her age. They have fun, usually hamming it up, wanting to look their best. I’m not totally sure her parents are going to love these though. The reason is that she’s only 11. I can’t say that I think that she looks remotely that young in these pics. Doesn’t she look a lot older than that? Well we had so much fun coming up with poses. Enjoy your sneak peek Miss A. (The ballerina ones will be posted next time. There’s too many for one post, heehee)

A Big Miracle and a few more pics

If you haven’t visited this website it’s a personal blog from a young mother diagnosed with cancer. I read it on a regular basis and feel like I “know” her. She’s extremely courageous, upbeat, and has words of wisdom that I’m constantly in awe of. Well, she had surgery last week to see if doctors were able to go in and remove any of the cancer, and wonderfully, they were able to remove a majority of the cancer and give her a much more positive view for her future! I’m so excited for her and her family. Her husband is so wonderful and reading his words on her blog this week brought me to tears. I thank God that she received this miracle!

And on another note(and for my local readers)….GO ROCKETS! 19 wins in a row.

Here’s a couple more pics from the newborn that was born on valentine’s day and his adorable cousin.

It’s true…

the third child just has to be easy-going. It’s a prerequisite, I’m sure. And this little guy was just that. He went along with everything we put him through. And he has 2 very active big sisters that want to love on him constantly. Here’s a sneak peek from 2 little princesses and their sweet new baby brother.

Newborn Sweetie

The new website is finally finished (for now). I had such a hard time making it “me” so it took longer than I had hoped. But I love color and collages, and there’s no shortage of either one — so I’m happy. If you see a typo or something that I may need to change, please let me know. I was really happy with the original one — my husband had built it and had done a wonderful job — but I was super excited to do the “cosmetic” aspects of this new one. In the beginning he wanted to work on wording, code, blah, blah, blah, and all I wanted to do was work on the fun stuff like songs, colors, logos, pictures. And the really cool thing is that client proofs can be viewed and even ordered through the website. That’s new for Studio Bloom and I really hope that everyone finds that it’s easier to do the whole process now. Here’s the link if you’d like to take a peek:

This little cutie was born on Valentine’s Day and soooo sweet. He was a trooper the entire time. I’ll have more pictures to share, but for now I’ll share just a few.

We had some cupcakes left over from a Valentine’s party that had at least 2 inches of hot pink frosting on them. Last I saw they were sitting snuggly on the counter in the container. Next thing I know Cassidy comes to find me and asks why Drew gets to have a cupcake. I’m like “What?” I immediately sprint to the other room and there he is happily grazing on his, like, 2ooth sweet of the day. Not to mention that the entire package of cupcakes were upsidedown on the kitchen floor. I just had to breathe in/breath out and grab my camera.

BUSTED!

Uh oh, I might be in trouble. Mom doesn’t look too happy.

Well, she grabbed her camera, and that’s usually a good sign that her mind is on other things.

Was it worth it I ponder?

Oh YEAH!! (As the sugar kicks in)

9-year-old’s room and a Wiseguy

Hey! Who’s the wiseguy that changed the letters around??

This is what it’s supposed to look like.

DISCLAIMER — please look past the messiness!

I’ve been wanting to take some pictures of my 9-year-old’s room for a while and what I discovered the other day was just the thing to get me to grab my camera. I would include pics from under her loft but it looks like a bomb went off under there.

Work It!

This is normally the shyest of the 3 sisters, but this time she came ready to strut her stuff. And how is it that I hate my freckles but love hers???

Update on the new website. I’m getting so excited because it’s almost done!! I’d say 90%.
