Lots of Smiles…

from this newborn. She was gorgeous…light blue eyes and perfect newborn skin and she smiled the entire time. Hope you enjoy your peek:)

Sisters Shoot

Big sister Miss E and little sister Miss M. Miss M added some glasses since our last shoot and I think she looks so adorable! Mom put on some music at the very end of the shoot and the girls came alive so I think next time we’re going to have to start with some music. They were really jamming while one sang and one danced!

Urban Family Session

Another family that I hadn’t seen since last Winter and their kids had changed so much. Their daughter was much more into posing for the camera and their son can now walk. I can’t believe how fast time flies! So glad you guys took me up on an urban session….love all the colors. Enjoy your peek…it was hard to narrow down:)

Mini Sessions #5

Also friends/neighbors of ours that I get to photograph every year. Drew loves to play with their son and the girls love to pamper their little girl. Last year at their session I snapped an action shot that I loved and this year (the last picture on the sneak peek) we got another action shot that I’m loving. The family is playing Ring Around the Rosy…you have to look close but Little Miss P’s stuffed baby is even included.

Mini Session #4

Wonderful family that I was excited to meet. The mom had emailed me about the mini sessions when I first posted info about them and wrote me the kindest words ever. They drove quite a ways for their session and the dad was a trooper (even if he didn’t get to fish after that long of a drive:):)) Thanks again…it was great to meet you!

And the infamous chicken made a visit during this session.

Mini Session #3

She was really shy at first but perked up and then was on the move the rest of the time. Lots of big smiles! Mom mentioned that she loves b&w’s so here you go:)

Mini Session #2

These are the kids of our friends/neighbors and our kids play together quite a lot. The day I picked up these tires I was with their mom and actually in her vehicle. I owed them a tire shoot:)

November Mini Sessions – #1

This is a really good friend of mine and her family. They did their session first and then she stayed and helped me the rest of the day. So, a few days later I have her come over to look over her pictures to pick the ones she wanted me to edit and all I can say is I’m glad that I don’t do in-person picture viewing. It was hilarious how she picked apart smiles, non-smiles, teeth, shoes, eyes, hair, clothes, etc…………..! I know it’s hard to look at yourself in pictures but oh. my. goodness!!! I thought they looked great and just think, in ten years you’ll probably think you didn’t look so bad after all. Luv ya girl (with your forced smile and all:):)

Newborn Girls

These sweet babies belong to Mackenzie’s kindergarten teacher and her husband and they are beyond precious. And as bad as it sounds I was super excited when mom showed up by herself. No grandmas or dads to help (not that I don’t like dads or grandmas!)…but in my mind that one momma can not keep up with 2 babies…which means I get a baby. And I pretty much did. I got to feed and hold them lots…and I was in love. They were sooooo good sleeping and snuggling it up for their pictures. Of course I kept trying to figure out ways to tell them apart and decided that it was easiest by looking at their chin. I think I had it down by the end.

I’m so excited for you guys and can’t wait to watch them grow. Congrats! Hope you enjoy the pictures:)

10 on Friday

1. Horses are one of my favorite animals so when I was contacted to do this photo session I was excited!

2. I think I’ve mentioned it before but when I was about 20 I went to the bank and got a loan, bought a horse and found stables to keep him at all without running it by my parents. To say they were shocked is an understatement. But I never regretted it….loved that horse named Jake.

3. Went to the Nutcracker Market yesterday and saw so many clients (at least 4 within the first hour). It was great chatting…hope you had as much fun as I did! We actually had to make a trip to the cars before lunch (mostly thanks to Ang:))

4. I went with my best-friend-since-we-were-11, Angie, and my shopping fanatic sister-in-laws. My two sister-in-laws are professional shoppers….no kidding! They go every single year more than one day and stay from open to close. We even had booth owners say that they remember them from years’ past.

5. Chad joked that we would be giving the economy a huge boost between the 4 of us shopping together.

6. I had to come back early in the afternoon for a session. It had rained off and on all day but we went with it because of rescheduling hassles. They were wearing a gold/beige combo and we managed to get some pics amongst all the puddles and mud without getting too dirty. Go us!

7. My sister-in-law Tracy also always treats the women of the family to some event during the holiday season. We’ve seen The Nutcracker, The Rockettes, The Sound of Music Musical, and this year we went to see Cirque du Soleil. This was my first time seeing a performance and it was amazing! I totally want to get tickets to the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil in 2012. It also makes me want to stretch:)

8. One of my recent clients is battling cancer and going through treatments at M.D. Anderson. Please keep him in your prayers.

9. I have some high hopes of catching up through the next week. Lots of rain in the forecast and not as many newborns next week.

10. Now it’s time to work on the sneak peek of the twin girls from last week. It’s going to be hard to narrow down!!
