10 on Friday

1. Horses are one of my favorite animals so when I was contacted to do this photo session I was excited!

2. I think I’ve mentioned it before but when I was about 20 I went to the bank and got a loan, bought a horse and found stables to keep him at all without running it by my parents. To say they were shocked is an understatement. But I never regretted it….loved that horse named Jake.

3. Went to the Nutcracker Market yesterday and saw so many clients (at least 4 within the first hour). It was great chatting…hope you had as much fun as I did! We actually had to make a trip to the cars before lunch (mostly thanks to Ang:))

4. I went with my best-friend-since-we-were-11, Angie, and my shopping fanatic sister-in-laws. My two sister-in-laws are professional shoppers….no kidding! They go every single year more than one day and stay from open to close. We even had booth owners say that they remember them from years’ past.

5. Chad joked that we would be giving the economy a huge boost between the 4 of us shopping together.

6. I had to come back early in the afternoon for a session. It had rained off and on all day but we went with it because of rescheduling hassles. They were wearing a gold/beige combo and we managed to get some pics amongst all the puddles and mud without getting too dirty. Go us!

7. My sister-in-law Tracy also always treats the women of the family to some event during the holiday season. We’ve seen The Nutcracker, The Rockettes, The Sound of Music Musical, and this year we went to see Cirque du Soleil. This was my first time seeing a performance and it was amazing! I totally want to get tickets to the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil in 2012. It also makes me want to stretch:)

8. One of my recent clients is battling cancer and going through treatments at M.D. Anderson. Please keep him in your prayers.

9. I have some high hopes of catching up through the next week. Lots of rain in the forecast and not as many newborns next week.

10. Now it’s time to work on the sneak peek of the twin girls from last week. It’s going to be hard to narrow down!!

Beautiful Newborn Boy

He was perfect. And not only was he gorgeous he was a great little poser, too.

The “C” Family

Wow, it seems like everyone that I’ve worked with lately is expecting a newborn or just had one. So, here’s another one that is expecting and can’t wait to meet her!! Their daughter is ALL smiles and you’ve gotta love that with her big, adorable dimples.

The “F” Family

One of my regular families:) The kiddos are getting a lot quicker the older they get but we were able to snap some great shots of them.

Maternity Shoot

This lovely family is expecting twins and I can’t wait to meet them at the newborn shoot:) Hope you enjoy the peek.

Newborn Mr. L

Boy, am I a sight to see. I scratched my eye at a session tonight and it’s hurting pretty bad. I’ve read that I need to keep it closed and since I don’t have an eye patch on hand I made one with a paper towel and a hair band. The family is calling me a mommy pirate and I’m getting lots of laughs. It’s really hard to keep your eye closed without holding something against it. I just hope that after a good night of sleep and it staying closed it will feel better in time for 2 sessions tomorrow. Of course it’s my right eye and it’s kind of hard to see through a viewfinder if you’re wearing a pirate patch:)

Little cutie. LOVED his big dimple that you can see in that first picture. His room theme is cowboy so we did some pics with his cowboy stuff.

Here’s What I’ve Been Doing Today

Swoon!!! More to come at the regular sneak peek day…just couldn’t help playing with one of the pictures:)

The M Family

Some of my “regulars”…whom I adore. I was super excited to see Mr. Speedy(their oldest) because he is always super animated and fun. I also couldn’t wait to see how much his little brother had changed since the new baby photo shoot. They had both changed! Enjoy your peek:)

Smiles

He is gonna be a little heartbreaker between the curly hair, big brown eyes, and huge smile. He smiled more than I could have ever asked for. Even after he fell he would fuss a little and then smile…fuss and then smile. He was such a great model!

Pumpkin Patch Baby

I am loving his little open-mouth grin. He was too cute for words and amazingly strong. He was about 6.5 months and could stand holding onto something and then even let go and stood without touching anything. I would never have believed it!
