Had the first day of mini sessions today and I’m EXHAUSTED! I may not get as much computer work done tonight as I’d hoped so please bear with me if you’re waiting on things. Cute kids and adorable dog:) When mom mentioned possibly bringing the dog I of course encouraged it. She was so cute she almost stole the show. The kids were great and helped come up with some of the poses. Hope you enjoy your peek:)
I keep promising myself to do less pictures for the sneak peeks because I should really be spending the time on editing, orders, packaging and other stuff….but I couldn’t cut down on this session because I love so many of them. So, little Mr. R was not a fan of hats. He disliked hats more than any other newborn I’ve ever photographed yet as I look at these pictures he has a hat on in every picture except one. I guess that makes us mean:) But he looked so cute! How could we not play dress-up with him?
Miss K has a new sister and I was so excited to meet her. She seemed older than she was because she was born at an almost 10lbs! Hope you enjoy the peek:)
These 2 are obviously very much in love and adore one another. They made me smile and helped remind me to appreciate that I have a wonderful husband to go through life with. Thank you. I hope you adore the sneak peek:)
The temperature is in the 70′s and it is gorgeous! Makes me want to go outside and lay in a hammock. If only I had one. I don’t have a photo shoot this evening and we are going to take full advantage of being outside once the kids get home because this weather never lasts long enough. It was a pleasure working with this family. They make me want to have deep, dark red hair. I couldn’t quit staring at the color….soooo pretty. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek:)
I was so impressed with the attention to detail that this mom thought about. She had thought of everything from the clothes, to possible props, to bribe items:) She included different coordinating outfits (even winter clothing so the Fall family pictures seemed a little more “Fall-ish”. I know they had to be burning up in the long clothing and jackets but they were good sports about it. And the accessories can add so much to the pictures. I always love when clients have hats, things with texture, scarves, or layered clothing. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek:)
in all their adorableness! The first few minutes were so perfect. They smiled. They hugged. They looked. And luckily I was a quick snapper because after that it was on the move for the older brother. He had his own ideas in mind and mostly they didn’t include me:) He was all about running and exploring while his little brother just smiled and smiled away. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I’m loving the weather here right now!
So, I’ve done pictures of lots of little ones that have tricks they do with their tongue. This little girl came up with her own new trick. She gets a surprised look on her face with her mouth wide open. It was really cute and you can view it in the 3rd pic.
I’m scared to have a tween/teen! And Mackenzie is getting close…scary! But I’ve done these kids’ pictures for years now and they’re getting to that age that I worry and stress about and being with them makes me see how fun it can be. They have so much personality (as you can see in the “outtakes” collage) and laugh at themselves and with each other that I’m kind of looking forward to it now. THANKS guys..I have such a blast doing photo sessions with you:)
Here’s Miss H and her new little sister. Little sister has a chin just like my niece and it’s soooo adorable! The session was getting a *little* crazy and their mom said “I can’t wait to see what you write on your blog about this session”. The thing is that it is much more stressful on the parent of the child or children in the pictures than it is for me as the photographer. But I completely understand because nothing can get me as flustered as when I try and do pictures of my own kids. There have been many times where I’ve yelled “Just get together and act like you love each other”!!! So no worries…the only stress I had was trying to make sure I could give you some good pictures of your girls at this age:)
