Newborn Baby Boy

I keep promising myself to do less pictures for the sneak peeks because I should really be spending the time on editing, orders, packaging and other stuff….but I couldn’t cut down on this session because I love so many of them.

So, little Mr. R was not a fan of hats. He disliked hats more than any other newborn I’ve ever photographed yet as I look at these pictures he has a hat on in every picture except one. I guess that makes us mean:) But he looked so cute! How could we not play dress-up with him?

Newborn Baby B

Miss K has a new sister and I was so excited to meet her. She seemed older than she was because she was born at an almost 10lbs!

Hope you enjoy the peek:)

Love

These 2 are obviously very much in love and adore one another. They made me smile and helped remind me to appreciate that I have a wonderful husband to go through life with. Thank you.

I hope you adore the sneak peek:)

Hello Gorgeous Weather

The temperature is in the 70′s and it is gorgeous! Makes me want to go outside and lay in a hammock. If only I had one. I don’t have a photo shoot this evening and we are going to take full advantage of being outside once the kids get home because this weather never lasts long enough.

It was a pleasure working with this family. They make me want to have deep, dark red hair. I couldn’t quit staring at the color….soooo pretty. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek:)

Family Shoot

I was so impressed with the attention to detail that this mom thought about. She had thought of everything from the clothes, to possible props, to bribe items:) She included different coordinating outfits (even winter clothing so the Fall family pictures seemed a little more “Fall-ish”. I know they had to be burning up in the long clothing and jackets but they were good sports about it. And the accessories can add so much to the pictures. I always love when clients have hats, things with texture, scarves, or layered clothing.

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek:)

Brothers…

in all their adorableness! The first few minutes were so perfect. They smiled. They hugged. They looked. And luckily I was a quick snapper because after that it was on the move for the older brother. He had his own ideas in mind and mostly they didn’t include me:) He was all about running and exploring while his little brother just smiled and smiled away.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I’m loving the weather here right now!

One Year and a New Trick

So, I’ve done pictures of lots of little ones that have tricks they do with their tongue. This little girl came up with her own new trick. She gets a surprised look on her face with her mouth wide open. It was really cute and you can view it in the 3rd pic.

Fun!

I’m scared to have a tween/teen! And Mackenzie is getting close…scary! But I’ve done these kids’ pictures for years now and they’re getting to that age that I worry and stress about and being with them makes me see how fun it can be. They have so much personality (as you can see in the “outtakes” collage) and laugh at themselves and with each other that I’m kind of looking forward to it now. THANKS guys..I have such a blast doing photo sessions with you:)

Sisters

Here’s Miss H and her new little sister. Little sister has a chin just like my niece and it’s soooo adorable!

The session was getting a *little* crazy and their mom said “I can’t wait to see what you write on your blog about this session”. The thing is that it is much more stressful on the parent of the child or children in the pictures than it is for me as the photographer. But I completely understand because nothing can get me as flustered as when I try and do pictures of my own kids. There have been many times where I’ve yelled “Just get together and act like you love each other”!!! So no worries…the only stress I had was trying to make sure I could give you some good pictures of your girls at this age:)

Ten on Tuesday

I’m so excited that I hit a “T” day to do the “Ten on Whatever Day”. Never mind that it’s been over a week….we won’t dwell on that:)

- I don’t know about you but when I place my groceries on the conveyor belt at the grocery store I try to load them so fast that the checker never has to wait on me for items. Just a little thing I like to do. Normally, the checkers seem like they are in about as much of a hurry as molasses. Just taking their sweet little time to make their day go by and to make you late for picking up kids from school;) Well last week I had a checker that I think was playing the “I’m going to ring up her items so fast that she can’t keep up with getting them on the belt”. Ha! It was like we were in this unspoken race to out-do the other. It was actually quite fun and I’m going to look for his line next time I’m in there.

- Totally random…but if I find a french fry at the bottom of my bag when I think that they’re all gone…MAKES MY DAY! It’s the little things people. (And especially if it’s from Chick-Fil-A.

- I have a problem with Chick-Fil-A. And eat it waaaaaayy to many times a week. Had it 3 times between Friday and yesterday (and they’re closed on Sunday). Bad, I know. But at least a lot of the time I get their side salad. With a side of fries:)

- I get teased mercilessly about how I should own stock, own a store, I’m a VIP, am putting the owner’s kids through college, that they must check with me before they add menu items, etc…..at Chick-Fil-A

- My husband turned me on to Napster. I have a playlist of some favorite songs but I guess since it’s one account we can’t listen to our different playlists at the same time at different computers. I usually wait until the evening to listen but the other day I just couldn’t wait so I logged on. Apparently, we really can’t listen at the same time because he emailed me immediately from work to see if I had logged on. He had been kicked off:)

- We joke around that we each have the better playlist. I’ve caught him listening to mine:) And for the record, I’ve never listened to his. I win!

- My air conditioning went out in my van 2 days ago. I’m so thankful that we had a cool front when this happened.

- The Christmas card samples are almost done.

- Several sets of twins are due this Fall and I’m excited!

- Saw these on Lyndsey Stradtner’s blog and already ordered 2. Drew loves to have dipping sauces and it’s perfect for that. Packed him Ranch dressing for his carrots today and it’s environmentally friendly…no bags to worry about. They come with stickers so they can personalize them and he had to use every single sticker that it came with.

This doll wasn’t too into smiling until her daddy started letting her “pretend fall” off of the fence. I decided she was a thrill seeker and we got the best smiles when she was falling or being thrown in the air.
